CYBORG MANIFESTO_2 (2022-2025) builds on Donna Haraway’s socio-feminist essay ‘A Cyborg Manifesto’ (1985), wherein she conceptualises the ‘cyborg’ beyond a dual organic/machine hybrid into a transgressive figure that defies gendered, patriarchal and colonial binaries.

An ode to the women in erotica who pioneered today’s digital landscape that is the internet, Ozziline’s performance reimagines this cyborgian ideology as a contemporary form of [queer] sexuality in the machine, where female sexual agency is at the forefront of the pornographic image, and a new found desire based in technophilia is defined.

Performed as an erotic lecture from the imagined erotic labourers control room, Ozziline live scans her body as a deranged technophile whilst reading aloud. She becomes performer, director, photographer, writer, speaker and tech – reflexive of the multifaceted role the female pornographer must inhabit.

The narrative text plays on Ozziline’s lust towards her scanner, and includes quotes taken from Haraway’s original essay.
